Launching Binom: A New AI System to Streamline Government Committees

This past week, we officially launched Binom, an AI-powered system designed to make the work of government committees more efficient. The launch event brought together our senior partners from across government ministries, reinforcing our shared vision: that AI can be a transformative tool for a better public sector, built on inter-ministerial collaboration and a broad, systemic perspective.

Developed through a partnership between the Government & Society Division at the Prime Minister's Office and the Data and AI unit at the National Digital Agency, Binom connects policy, professional expertise, and technology. The real innovation here isn’t just the use of AI, but the holistic approach. Instead of developing bespoke solutions for each ministry, we created a single, horizontal platform adaptable to a wide variety of committees and processes.

The system automates tedious manual work by extracting information from documents and generating uniform, professional protocol summaries. This frees up public servants to focus on their core, high-value work. An additional component for checking compliance with threshold conditions has also been developed and is being prepared for implementation.

We are currently running a pilot of Binom at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, and the results are already promising. We're seeing streamlined workflows, reduced handling times, and improved service for citizens, all while adhering to the strictest standards for privacy and information security. The launch of Binom is a major milestone in applying AI as a managerial force multiplier in government.
